FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your photography style?
On the day we will generally shoot a variety of styles depending on the emphasis you wish. At a meeting prior to booking my services, we look at samples of previous work and discuss various aspects of the day including the style of images you want.

Often it is a balance between more natural and candid style of photography and a slightly more directed approach for the photos of the couple and bridal party. We aim to do this, without being too ‘in your face’ or pushy.

Locations for wedding photography in Melbourne are also an important consideration. Please ask for a full list of ideas for wedding photography locations in Melbourne or the Yarra Valley as there is something to suit all tastes, schedules and weather!

How many weddings has Wedding Snapper Photographed?
Hundreds!
We have been shooting weddings for 5 years giving us a wealth of experience to bring to your wedding. We are familiar with ceremonial styles of many cultures, traditions and have catered to a variety of unique requests.

Do you shoot in RAW format?
Yes, we shoot in the RAW format which is a far more versatile option and provides a better image than simply shooting JPEGs.

What is RAW?
While many wedding photographers shoot the simple JPEG format with its limited latitude—we choose to shoot RAW. This allows us to shoot more freely and in situations that would be other wise impossible for good results.

RAW allows for better post production allowing us to have fine degrees of control over the details of the final image. If you are interested and would like to read more check out this recent post for further information on RAW.

Do you photograph weddings beyond the Melbourne metropolitan area?
Absolutely. In the last 12 months, we have photographed weddings in Sydney, Rutherglen, Hobart, Apollo Bay and Palm Cove, Queensland.

Do you charge for travel?
Travel within 50km of Melbourne CBD is included in our packages. If your wedding is further afield then please let us know so we can tailor something to suit your needs.

What happens if I want to share photos with friends or relatives?
We enjoy supplying your photos to you in a way that will enable you to share images easily with family and friends. We calculate an average of 50-100 images per hour.

Do you put the photos on line?
Yes we do. We can arrange a complimentary online photo gallery with a selection of your shots for your guests to enjoy.

Do you take family photos?
Of course. In fact, we have a few tips which we’ll impart to you on how to make this a speedy and pleasurable experience, keeping everybody happy and making them feel involved in the day.

Do you have more than one camera?
Always! We work with 2 professional cameras, sometimes 3! We also have at least 2 flashguns, remote switches, reflectors, at least 6 lenses and bucket loads of memory cards and batteries.

Do I have to think of location ideas?
We always have plenty of ideas to offer you, but are more than happy to hear what you have in mind. It’s often a combination of both.
