So, you may have heard on the wedding grapevine that Butleigh Wootton is closing it’s doors at the end of June 2016.
The wedding venue has been a big part of many couple’s wedding day, with hundreds of weddings held there over the years – often up to five a week in the peak months!
I haven’t heard what the plans are for the building, but it sounds like it’s being retired for good as a wedding venue. (If I get any further information I’ll post it here.)
I’ve enjoyed photographing many weddings there, as well as many great meals courtesy of the lovely couples who book me. I always quite enjoyed my private dining experience with a the MC, DJ or band, tucked away in an upstairs back room. There are so many little passageways behind the scenes in that place that it’s quite easy to get lost and find yourself in the kitchen accidentally.
As always, I’m happy to talk about wedding venues around Melbourne and the Yarra Valley – I have plenty of recommendations for all styles of couple and wedding, so please do feel free to get in touch to see photography samples from a venue you are considering or just to ask my opinion and what my last working visit was like.
So, farewell to Butleigh Wootton and thanks for the good time, but fortunately for us there are loads more great venues to choose from around Melbourne and the Yarra Valley!
