A special place which appeals to select people, The Log Cabin Ranch offers a unique and inviting experience for wedding days where couples can expect for celebrations to last the whole weekend if they want them to.
The Log Cabin Ranch is known for its country or rustic cottage feel and can accommodate approximately 70 people. The property also has several spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions which include, but not limited to The Barn, The Paddock Arbour, The Stables, The Secret Garden and more.
Wedding packages offered are on DIY or self-catering basis to help couples enjoy a considerable reduction in their wedding expenses. The Log Cabin Ranch is also more than happy to help couples with contacts to top of the line wedding suppliers. I also have met several top notch caterers when photographing weddings in the Dandenongs and Yarra Valley region so am happy to make recommendations too.
At The Log Cabin Ranch, you can also look forward to enjoying your wedding throughout the weekend with the exclusive use of the venue from Friday night through to the afternoon of Sunday. You can also choose to invite your guests to stay to extend the celebrations into the next day. Or just enjoy some solitude after all the craziness and enjoy the peaceful scenery as a couple or with just a few close family members.
The venue welcome inspections and there are experienced and knowledgable staff members who can talk with you to help make your celebration more personal.
Ideal Location for Wedding Ceremonies
It is possible to hold your marriage ceremony on site at The Log Cabin Ranch, with the property boasting several stunning locations where you can hold a private and intimate ceremony.
You can opt to have a more intimate ceremony at The Secret Garden. There is also The Paddock, which is ideal for a more relaxed wedding ceremony held before the rustic timber arbor. If you want a grand ceremony outdoors, The Lawn is the best choice or you can go to The Stables for an indoor ceremony should the weather be doing it’s Melbourne ‘thing’. Whatever it is you want or need, The Log Cabin Ranch got you covered.
Perfect Spots for Wedding Receptions
It doesn’t matter if your wedding is a cocktail functional, food truck catered, formal sit down dinner, an outdoor spit roast or whatever your heart or stomach desires, as The Log Cabin Ranch offers a plethora of wedding reception spaces and options to suit your needs and those of your guests.
Since The Log Cabin Ranch is basically a self-catered venue, you are the one to choose to your caterer. The place also has ample cooking and kitchen facilities that your chosen caterers can use for their drink and food service and preparation.
Wedding Photography Locations
Being set amongst the beautiful towering gum and Mountain Ash trees of the Dandenong Ranges at Monbulk, the options for wedding photography are numerous and the really pleasing aspect for most photographers is that you don’t need to travel off site for the wedding portraits with the couple. A short stroll to a quieter part of the property is all it takes. Grab a glass of bubbles and wander!
Accommodation Options
The Log Cabin Ranch was originally a horse riding camp for the kids before it was transformed during the 70s and in later years into a school camp. You can still see the bunkhouse in the property which offers an accommodation of vintage camp style for about 70 guests. It then gives you and your guests the chance to enjoy an entire weekend of celebrations and relaxations.
No additional charges are required for accommodation as it is already part of the venue’s hire fee. It is completely up to you if you want to invite some or all your guests for part or all off the weekend. This is an ideal option for overseas and interstate guests or takes off the pressure of having to drive home late at night.
If The Log Cabin Ranch isn’t ticking all the boxes for you, I have plenty of other suggestions of wedding venues in the Dandenongs and Yarra Valley.
