Firstly, let me commend you on a fine choice of area for your wedding. Who doesn’t love the Red Hill area?!
With a wealth of quality venues and photography locations to choose from it really is a lovely spot for a wedding, with one of my favourite locations in the area being Max’s restaurant at Red Hill Estate.
Featured on the last series of Masterchef, it’s rolling hills, vines and views across to Phillip Island aren’t replicated anywhere else in Red Hill. And the food? Let’s just say it’s great! A research trip one lunchtime should be undertaken, but get someone else to drive so you can sample the wines too!
Max’s isn’t the only option for wedding ceremonies and receptions with Lindenderry and Tucks Ridge also proving very popular.
If you’re in need of a traditional Orthodox Greek church in Red Hill then you’re in luck! It’s cosy, beautifully decorated and has some fantastic grounds nearby for wedding photos. Get in touch if you’d like to see some samples.
Maybe Merricks or Balnarring are more your cup of tea? Closer to the water and boasting several great options for wedding ceremonies and receptions with both Merricks General Store and Veraison Restaurant at Bluestone Lane Winery hosting great functions and garnering excellent reviews.
The beauty of the area (aside the natural aspect, of course) is that it feels 1000km away from Melbourne and that is great if you want everyone to relax and get into the spirit of things. Why not hold your wedding on a Friday and let your guests make a long weekend of it? It’s a beautiful part of the world to explore and unwind, and with a wedding and some dancing thrown in, it’s sure to be a cracker!
If you’re planning on hosting your wedding in Red Hill, Merricks, Balnarring or anywhere on the Mornington Peninsula then please do get in touch about about wedding photography as I love working in the region.
