I’ve worked with plenty of videographers whilst covering weddings and one of the wedding videographers that I often recommend to my clients looking for someone to create a film of their day is Chris Grose. Mainly because he is a proper gent!
I love working with him for a few reasons; the first being that he also gets excited about being outdoors and using some of the beautiful parks and open spaces around Melbourne and the Yarra Valley. Enough of my chat – this is what Chris has to say about his work and the way he approaches a wedding video:
I love shooting weddings and I feel privileged that I have the chance to be a part of a couple’s special day. I enjoy the challenge of capturing a wedding and telling the story of the day. I shoot weddings in a documentary style, so I stay in the background and let the action take place. I look for special moments and pieces throughout the day that help tell the story and make the wedding film. I’m much more interested in the people than the bling and try to naturally capture the couple, their family and friends. I also enjoy the collaborative relationship that develops with a couple in the lead-up to their wedding day: getting to know them and about their wedding, and giving them a special keepsake after their wedding day.
