Sorry for the misleading headline, but I had to grab your attention somehow!
I’m often asked by brides why they haven’t seen me at the huge wedding expos that happen in Sydney and Melbourne every year.
Is it money? No, I have a budget for the advertising of my wedding photography services, but it’s not about the cost. (Although, $10,000 for a prime position at the larger expos is a little much if you ask me!)
It comes down to effective advertising and promotion. Do you know what I find the best kind of advertising?
Thats right, it’s the type you can’t buy…..word of mouth recommendations. I could create the fanciest advert on the glossiest paper, but most people are still going to listen to their best mate, work colleague or second cousin over me.
So, whilst you won’t see any flashy adverts or pick up any free Minties at my expo stand, I continue to offer some of the best and most affordable wedding photography in Melbourne and the Yarra Valley thanks to the words of praise from my previous clients.
