Wedding Road Trip

As you’ve probably already discovered, I’m a Melbourne based wedding photographer, and if you’ve been peeking at my Instagram feed (which you should, just so I feel some pressure to post photos more often!!), you’ll know that as much as I love Melbourne, I also get right into a road trip.

Especially when there is a fun event like a wedding at the end of it to photograph!

So, it was with great excitement this week that I took, my first booking for an interstate wedding in Canberra with Jane & Michael.

The couple are originally from Canberra but live in Melbourne so it makes sense to return to the ACT for the wedding rather than dragging 100+ guests to Melbourne.

Although I haven’t seen the wedding venue yet, the locations we plan to use for the wedding photos with the couple and their bridal party look awesome – several bush locations as well as a spot near the Parliament building which will be fun as it’s a little larger than the Parliament building in Melbourne which we often use as a wedding photography location in Melbourne.

I’ll also be working alongside their Canberra wedding videographer who is sure to have a few favourite secret spots to throw into the mix on the day.

You know one of the best things about doing a road trip?  You get to drive home too – double the fun! It’s also carte blanche to sample all sorts of delicious things you find along the way, so lets hope that all the wineries, olive producers and cheese shops between Melbourne and Canberra have had a productive year!
