After I have delivered a set of wedding photos to my newlywed clients I always ask them what they think of the photos and for a little feedback.
I do this for a number of reasons. Firstly, I want them to LOVE their photos and for it to remind them of their day all over again (as well as showing them a few things they might have missed), and hopefully bring them years of enjoyment each time they look back at them or see them every day on the wall.
Secondly, I like the warm glow of knowing that I’ve done a great job, fulfilled the brief and met (hopefully exceeded!) the client’s expectations.
Here is this week’s latest review from Tanya & Aaron’s wedding ceremony at the Melbourne registry:
We are delighted with the photos. Simon was wonderful on the day, making us feel relaxed and comfortable having our photos taken.
It was a very special day and the photos that Simon took reflect it. Thank you again Simon. We’d happily recommend you to anyone!
The final reason I ask for client’s feedback and to leave public reviews is that it’s the best form of advertising around. Sure, I can run lots of fancy adverts and tell you what I think I do best and how I might be a good fit as your wedding photographer, but if you’ve just stumbled across my site, how do you know whether you can trust me or not? After all, some wedding photographers have a rather dodgy reputation! This is the biggest reason I encourage former clients to leave public and independent reviews on sites such as True Local, Google or Yelp.
